Amsterdam, The Netherlands | Permanent Opportunity | English Speaking | Sponsorship given |Some remote working but the candidate must be commutable to Amsterdam office for when normality resumes.

Basic salary of 80,000 + Benefits + 20% to 30% 1st Year bonus with potential in longer term to raise as high as 100%.

Financial or Trading Real Time Data Architecture/Hybrid Cloud (Cloudera) and Server (Hortonworks)/Python/Hadoop/Kafka/SQL, Spark, Java/Data Streaming/Linux/Solid Data – storage, data analysis, design, modelling, architecture, processing/Container orchestration (Kubernetes)

This is an opportunity for an EXPERIENCED DATA ARCHITECT with experience of Hybrid, Real Time, High Volume, High Transactional Data Systems ideally with Trading or minimum Financial data systems experience to join one of the top 10 Proprietary Financial Trading companies and the World of high FINTECH bonusses with the opportunity to earn in the longer term more than 150,000 Euros per annum.

This trading company obviously operates in Real Time dealing with huge quantities of data and volumes of transactions in a fast-paced Agile environment with ultra-low latency, high frequency, scalable systems.

In this role the DATA ARCHITECT will work with experienced traders and quantitative researchers specialized in different asset classes, which need various data and processing capabilities to build the next generations of trading strategies.

The DATA ARCHITECT will identify strategic and tactical directions in the development of the data platform to support current and future data-intensive applications. Creation of standards for data onboarding, processing, modelling, reference, and master data management, will all be priorities in this role.

WHAT SKILLS YOU NEED

– You must have the confidence, thought leadership, clarity of communication and process leadership, that such a position requires.

– Significant software engineering experience related to data processing (circa 10 years).

– Previous additional relevant experience eg, data management, architecture, experience with data intensive software systems.

– Cloud computing (storage, databases, data analysis and processing) preferably GCP.

– Extensive experience with DISTRIBUTED STORAGE (eg, Hadoop), Middleware (eg, Kafka), data processing (eg, SPARK), container orchestration (eg, Kubernetes).

– Hybrid Cloud (Cloudera) and Server (Hortonworks)

– Java/Python programming languages

– Modern Data Science techniques and tools and preferable skills in A.I and machine learning.

– Datamodelling

– Strong Governance.

– FINANCIAL DOMAIN EXPERIENCE of data intensive software applications.

– Streaming data processing
